Why do you wear a seatbelt? You know you are a good driver right, you just don't know about anyone else on the roads. That is why one must have some type of personal protective gear in relationships.
There are clues I'm looking for to determine if I am dating the right guy. The thing is, men will date a woman until something better comes along, women who go on more than three dates think the man is relationship material.
Another thing is, men regret the women they didn't, women regret the men they did. I'm tired of having regrets.
So what doesn't work for me:
Angry, porn addicted, non-Christian, insensitive, road raging, indecisive, lying, cheating, booger/scab eating, lazy men... I should be able to find one without these character flaws right?
If not, I'm better off without one.
Here is my opinion, everyone and I do mean everyone has personal flaws, you, me, him , her, your best friend, your mother etc. It is when you can look at those flaws as just that (FLAWS)that you will find the perfect relationship. For a relationship to prosper, each participant must love w/o conditions. So what, "he picks his nose and eats his boogers". (My Jaxon has a bad habit of that) LOL! Would I stop loving him because of it, NO WAY! (My Keyton, is a Tall tale weaving pro) But I would put myself in front of a moving vehicle to protect him. You could say "Ya, but those are your kids!" True, but having a truly successful partnership works the same way. Phil my husband...Picks his scabs, to the point he has to get antibiotics to clear it up, He and Jaxon love fowl odors! BLECH! Phil is so tight, yes he could put coal in his Bum and produce a diamond. He saves for the future, where I just want to spend to enjoy the NOW! He is pushy, direct, and honestly doesn't care what other think about him. Now these are not qualities that I personaly like. But I love them unconditionally, which means I learn to love them too, in a Quirky kind of way. It is no different from loving and continuing a great long friendship with a girlfriend. You just haven't found the Man who can truly love you for the real you...Flaws and all! By the way I have NONE! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBtw Angry,lying,cheating? Those are not character flaws! Those are deeply rooted emotional and mental issues. Those only a therapists and perscription meds can help! LOL!
